WAKE is the acronym for Pertubuhan Wanita dan Kesihatan, Kuala Lumpur (Women & Health Association, Kuala Lumpur). WAKE is an NGO and mainly shelter the infected and yet homeless children, women and transsexuals. Its mission is to “Dispel Discrimination- Dare to Care”. WAKE reaches out a helping hand regardless of race, religion and ethnicity, WAKE depends on the public’s generosity to fully operate in providing better care for its residents. Although ending these problems that existed for centuries would be a tough job, it should not be a reason to deter everyone from even giving it a try at making the world a better place to live in. To lend a helping hand, you could donate spare changes especially one and five cents which are facing out soon into these yellow donation boxes which are located at receptions, library, selected schools’ counters and book shop.
