Nomination

Hey people...

In view of the recent event that just ended with a big bang, which is none other than the International Women's Week 08 charity event that SSLAA organized, I would like to once again take the opportunity to thank everyone who was there to go through the entire process of planning, preparing and executing the event itself.

Words are only words when not implemented and put into action. Therefore, to those who really contributed a lot to the Association, thank you for being part of SSLAA and although we cannot promise to reimburse you or to pay you monthly salary for being part of us, but we can guarantee one thing, you would gain more experiences through continuing being a part of the Association...

Before we go on to more important things, lets just thank one person... The one and only one person who could make a table of 20 people laugh uncontrollably whenever he cracks stupid, lame or meaningful jokes. he is...

Mr. Nick Lim Kah Ken

Not only was he our President, our Association's 'bapa ayam', badminton coach to our badminton players as well as our 'resident joker' for the meetings which always dragged for hours on end with members laughing non-stop, he is also someone that the SSLA Association should thank, because, without him, SSLAA would have been really boring...

Thanks, Nick for being the ever 'fei' and funny SSLAA President for as long as you held your position. And WHY did you suddenly leave lah... (damn u..)

But then again, Nick has his own reasons for stepping down and now, its just the rest of us in the Association who is going to run this entire Association by our own. Are we ready for this?

I guess you all are...

And that is why, we are going to have a NOMINATION week, where every member nominates whoever he/she thinks is suitable to be the A's, B's and C's of the Association...

Every position is going to be emptied for all of you to cast your vote and to nominate the right people to handle the jobs.

But for those who wishes to step down and not reassume any more positions in SSLAA, they would be excluded but you have to inform us first before the nomination period.

And, the best part is this.....

We have our 'old' committee members who are also requesting to change their positions to another one. So, allocations would be made for these people too..


BUT then again... this Nomination is not ALL about those old, fuzzy duddy members who held posts in the last committee member's line up. This NOMINATION is a brand new one, where everyone is responsible for re-electing their own members into the Committee...

Remember, each and everyone of you would be responsible for your vote. Whether the person you nominate could carry on their job well or not, this is all up to you to judge.

Do check the blogsite again once more, soon, for more updates on the Nomination. And i guess, some of us (the old members, eh?) saw some talents in a few SSLAA members. So, just pray that these people do not bully you when you're finally elected. Just joking....
