Changes for The Dinner & Up-Coming Events

Hello everyone! After our meeting today, we have decided to postpone our end of semester dinner to 7pm, 8th of August, at Sushi Zanmai in The Gardens. RM 10 refunable deposit per person. Our respective Creative Director, Mr.Issac will do the booking on this Friday, so everyone shall pay and register, latest by Friday. Those active members who is always asking for new updates, here is your chance to participate now~We will be having our end of semester dinnner at TGI Fridays, The Curve, 7.30pm this Saturday. Attention to every single member and those active members who always wanted to participate in ssla event. I know who you are, cos I have been watching you all this while, so you cant run away. =)

Hello everyone!

I guess most of you are wondering why there are no updates...the reason?

first of all, we are all very busy with our never ending asgms...just won't stop pilling...

second, our mind has been caught up with the fact that we need to try to finish our asgms to make way for other work... and to also try to figure out solutions for our daily problems that occur everyday...

third, being busy, we tend to be forgetful; hence, we have a tendency to actually think that everyone knows what we are doing (e.g the convo fund-raising etc.). And to actually think that the people around us would spread the news and update one another through verbal contact.

I am truly sorry for making you all wait for updates. Will make it point to try to update you guys on whatever issues that occur... tho at the moment nothing has come up yet unless somebody wants to try to be funny and bring down ssla...or when we have events etc.

And I know that previously this blog was inundated with people who comes in and out to flood the chatbox, having a great time and all. I may not know the reason for people to actually slow down in their chat etc, but all i know is that people are caught up in their stuff... especially year 3 students when they were the ones who actually went gaga in the chatbox.. i know that bobo and ah loong are still free to flood here.. =) thanks for still crapping in the chatbox.. but i guess the rest have probably retired, feel the need to sit back and see the whole picture, and move on with their other things..

So, im sorry again for not updating you guys... and this is the updates thus far:

a) Convocation 2008 fund-raising: We are selling accessories, muffins and graduation teddy
bears (the main attraction). Today (Saturday), there will be a
small group of us putting up a booth at the ground floor of
Block C as the event will be going on at DeTSAR.
We hope that our sales will gain profit to help the club.

b) There will be a meeting next Tuesday, 4-6PM, at cG01 - that will be the last meeting for the
semester, so hope that everyone will make it. We will be
discussing more on our club dinner, and future plans (if
we have), team-building camp, and orientation.

Club dinner will be combined with the pop culture class
students. It will probably be next Saturday, 2nd of August, at
night. However, the venue and time have yet to be confirmed.

We need people to help us with Orientation - recruitement
drive. Hopefully we will all be free to come up with props etc
to make the booth more attractive etc.

c) There will be a committee meeting right after the big meeting.. to figure out what
activities can we come up with for the next semester. If any ideas, please do come and see one
of us (the committee) to suggest what can we do.

Meeting on Tuesday

HI ALL, Just to inform every members that there will be a meeting on Tuesday, 15th July 2008 4-6pm at CGo1~

Hope everyone will be able to make it to the meeting because Jessie and Mr.Ken had already put so much effort into SSLA, so please do not let them down.

So, really hope you guys will be able to make it, we know that everyone is busy with their assignments or exams, but please, spare some times for us, we really need your support.

Animal's Day

We Need
3 Volunteers to help the Independent Pet Rescuer
3 Sales person @ SSLA booth
3 other volunteers for support

Invite friends who has pets to bring their darling pets along~!

Get more friends to support & buy more things. When sales go up, means more profit comes in.

New clothes from Cloth Zone to be sold @ a discounted rate.

The Independent Pet Rescuers would bring a few puppies/ kittens and it would be good if we could bring our pets as well.

Try to ask people ( Joseph @ Writer's Team ) if he can come up with any articles about animals. Also for any SSLA members who has pets to write about animals.

There is nothing much to be done. Just ask them to come along & support, buy things. And ask if anyone has anything to put on sale too~!

New Activity - Team Building Camp

Attention to all our beloved members~

We are planning to have an outdoor activity perhaps in next semester or next year. It is a team building camp, strongly recommended by Mr.Ken. For those who interested in participating in this camp, especially for those members who love outdoor activities, please do not be hesitate and talk to our president, Jessie or Mr.Ken. We will be discussing this during our next meeting too!
